About us
The
Black Duck Gourmet Pantry is a family owned and operated business run by
proprietors Julie and Nigel. Our many years of experience in the giftware retail
industry has taught us that personal service and attention to detail is what
sets a business above all the rest.
We own and run our business from our shop front in Albany, Western Australia. This part of the country, known to the locals as “the great southern”, is abundant with the spoils of this fertile land and we aim to bring these spoils to you in the form of beautifully presented gift baskets, hampers and wines all predominantly sourced from this wonderful ‘great southern region’. We also aim to bring you the best produce from other parts of the country. To this end, we travel extensively, sourcing other unique and rare gourmet products to compliment our local producers products.
The town of Albany blossomed many years ago when an influx of workers
descended upon the city, eager to gain employment at the local whaling
station. Although the station has been closed for many years, it is now
utilized as a museum of whaling operations and is a fantastic place to visit
on your travels.
